A Tale of Destruction

Earth shakes
Ground quakes
Ants scatter
Eggs splatter

Destruction comes
Machines don’t hum
People stop
No ticking clock

Rain falls
Mountains collapse
Valleys filled
deluge destroys

Earth splits
Turning stops
Fires blaze
cities razed

People die
Time flies
Engines start
Earth’s motion

Counter to the
clock Earth turns
Seas and valleys
like butter churn

Times flows
Man goes
World rebuilt
Man lives with guilt
